Women + Wine — Veteran’s Community Project
For the month of January, Women & Wine will feature a program featuring Veteran’s Community Project.
We are Veterans Community Project (VCP), a team of connectors, feelers, and doers on a mission to help our kin, our kind. We move with swift, bold action, motivated by the sacred rule of leave no one behind. VCP’s solution is simple: provide Veterans a home of their own and individualized, wraparound support services that not only help get them back on their feet but ensure they continue standing.
VCP Village-Longmont provides everything a Veteran needs to live with dignity and safety; trauma-informed design with new furniture, appliances, housewares, bedding, and utilities, free of charge. More importantly, VCP Village provides sanctuary and the emotional space needed for the Veteran and VCP’s Veteran Support Services team to thoroughly address the underlying causes of his or her homelessness.
Ticket prices are $30 for WAW members; $50 for non-members. This includes a flight of wine featuring and food platter of your choice, along with an engaging presentation from VCP.
