100% Albariño from the Condado de Tea, the warmest subzone of Rias Baixas. Vineyards planted in the mid to late 70s on granite soils. DO Rías Baixas, on the Northwest Atlantic coast of Spain, is home to the queen of Spanish white grapes – Albariño. This rocky coastline is stark and lush all at once, with cold wet winds coming off the ocean providing moisture for plant growth as well as harsh climate for growing wine grapes. Finished in stainless steel, Columna is a fresh, approachable expression of Albariño that is a versatile pair for a wide variety of food or delicious by itself.

100% Mencía dry rose from 53 year old vines grown on river stones and clay soils. From the region of Bierzo in northwest Spain, a region with a wine history that dates back to the Roman times. Mencía is a red grape that is indigenous to the area. This rose sees no oak and if fermented in stainless steel vats. 50% of its profits are donated to two great causes. Isaac Fernández 2021 Acentor Garnacha, Aragon, Spain

100% Garnacha, from 50+ year old, bush vines from vineyards around 750-900 meters in elevation with iron-rich red clay and abundant surface stones. All hand harvested and destemmed fermented in cement tanks. Aged for 5 months in used, 50% French and 50% American oak barrels. São Miguel Do 2022 Sul Red Blend, Alentejo, Portugal

A blend of Aragonez, Alicante Bouschet and Trincadeira. These grapes were grown on a mixture of clay and schist soils and were harvested during the night followed by total destemming. Fermentation happens in stainless-steel vats with oak staves. A portion of the wine is aged in French oak barrels. Twenty percent of the vineyards are certified organic, and each passing year, Alexandre Relvas converts more vineyards. They use nearby wetlands to filter and reuse water and employ hundreds of Merino sheep to fertilize and “weed” the soil. Also, keen to reforest the area, they have planted over 100,000 native trees.
Esporao 2022 Assobio Tinto, Douro, Portugal

A blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Franca. The Assobio range comes from 20 year old vines on schist soil from a higher altitude vineyard. Respecting the winegrowing tradition of the world’s oldest demarcated region, the wines produced are based on the region’s indigenous varieties. Versatile and gastronomic, they express the douro’s freshest side. 10% of the blend was aged in French oak barrels for 6 months with the rest spending its time in stainless steel vats.

85% Tempranillo and 15% Graciano. These grapes were in exceptional good health which was one of the fundamental characteristics of the 2011 vintage. Bodegas Ontañón is a family-owned windery located in the heart of Rioja. For four generations, the Pérez-Cuevas family has cultivated vineyard land south of the Ebro River just outside the tiny town of Quel. These grapes were hand harvested and aged in American and French Oak for 36 months. With this wine be 15 years old, we will be decanting every bottle before pouring and suggest you do the same in your own home!
Vatan 2021 Tinta de Toro, Toro, Spain

100% Tinta de Toro, Spain’s oldest clone of Tempranillo, grown on sandy loam of sedimentary origins dated back to the end of the Cretaceous period. These are the oldest soils in the Spanish Duero River valley. Two-three meters below the surface, there is a 10 inch thick later of red clay. Due to these sandy soils, Toro was the only continental Spanish DO to resist phylloxera completely. Meaning the vineyard that was planted in 1900 is original rootstock. This wine was finished in 20% new, 80% used Bordelaise and Burgundian barrique. It rests in barrel for 20-22 months.
